TEAM is a German acronyme

In case you don't know it, the word TEAM is a German acronym for "Toll! Ein Anderer machts!" (Cool! Someone else is doing it!).

Half a year has passed since the project Ellis anouncement and also since Brian's crucial first efforts to get BlueQuartz for CentOS 5 kicked off. CentOS 5 also has been out since 14 months now, but BlueQuartz is still stuck with CentOS 4.

With some spare time at my hands I decide that it's time to do something about it in earnest. I started merging the 5200R code tree and all changes from 5100R and merge them into a new 5106R code tree.

Brian Smith also got involved and rolls up a beta ISO image which allows quick deployment of whatever alpha code we had at that time.

After a gruesome six week effort I managed to get BlueQuartz on CentOS 5.1 to about 95% readiness. However, some issues remain. And it is time for peer review of my code and high time that other developers also get involved in that effort.

However, the same old story happens: Nothing.

In the meantime I fork the 5106R code tree in order to allow me to update my own commercial project Aventurin{e} from CentOS 4 to CentOS 5, too. Aventurin{e} 6105R on CentOS 5.2 is released on 25th June 2008.
