5207R/5208R/5209R YUM updates

A larger than usual set of updates has just been published for BlueOnyx 5207R, 5208R and 5209R.

We just published a large set of updates for 5207R, 5208R and 5209R.

The base-alpine and base-ssl updates (mostly) address a minor issue we had with uploading SSL certificate files via the GUI. The GUI texts now specify the file extensions that the uploaded files must have. Additionally the CodeIgniter MIME definitions in base-alpine got updated with the MIME-types that we need to allow, but which weren't yet fully there.

The largest part of the update addresses the Italian translation. So far that translation was straight off the Google Translate API and the quality was naturally of lamentable quality. Or ... a "scherzi" as an Italian might put it.

To that end a BlueOnyx user volunteered to help improve the Italian translation. Many thanks to Simone Capra for the hard work and efforts that he put into it. If you still spot bad Italian in the GUI, then that are the parts that haven't been (properly) translated yet. We'll get to that eventually. But for the most part it should be done and is usable by now.

Naturally: We're not comfortable releasing +200 RPMs at once during a regular update. It just rocks the boat too much. I went through most post install RPM scripts to make double sure that there should be as few side effects as possible. But during RPM building I also have to take ISO installs into account - which use the same RPMs.

While I was at it I also modified all post-install scripts that require a CCEd rehash or restart to use our new YUM Plugin provided rehash/restart mechanism for CCEd, which works much more seamlessly and cuts the required restarts down to a single on that runs when the YUM update is (almost) done.
