The rest of the year 2008 zips by uneventfully. Pretty much no further development or discussion takes place on the BlueQuartz developer mailing list.

We talk about some weird RPM signing issues (somehow the testing RPMs aren't signed correctly). There is some talk about the mailing list issues and outages.

I commit some further code updates to SVN, dealing with better implementation of mandatory secure passwords for accounts.

I also commit two code contributions from Rickard Osser to the BlueQuartz SVN. One consisting of a partially working DHCP server management module and another one dealing with bootblock issues on RAID1 servers with the Grub bootloader.

Of course none of these ever get released in RPM form.

The last message on the developer mailing list was made on 16th October 2008.
