All PHP Versions Now Ship With Full PDO Database Support
BlueOnyx PHP packages for 5210R, 5211R and 5212R now include consistently enabled SQLite and PostgreSQL support on every PHP version. And every build is fully up to date regarding the php2shell issue.
We have refreshed our PHP packages for BlueOnyx 5210R, 5211R and 5212R. The highlight of this update: every PHP version - from legacy PHP 5.6 all the way up to the current PHP 8.5 - now ships with consistently enabled SQLite and PostgreSQL support via PDO, straight out of the box.
Why this matters
Until now, database connectivity was somewhat tied to specific PHP versions: some of our earlier builds did not include PDO SQLite or PostgreSQL support, or had it compiled in but not activated. That is now a thing of the past. Whether your application needs SQLite for lightweight local storage or PostgreSQL as its backend, you can now pick the PHP version your application requires - instead of the one that happens to have the right database drivers available.
A note on php2shell (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619)
A quick note for those keeping track of recent PHP security news: all packages listed below - including the older PHP branches 5.6 through 8.1 - also contain the fixes for the php2shell vulnerability (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619) that we announced recently. If you are running any of these PHP versions on BlueOnyx and apply this update, you are on the safe side regardless of which PHP branch your sites use. We do not leave legacy versions behind.

Installation
The packages are available in the BlueOnyx Shop and will show up in the GUI under Software → Updates as usual. No action is required if your current configuration works as intended - but applying this update is recommended for everyone, as it brings all PHP branches onto the same feature and security baseline.
