5106R: EOL 31th March 2017
All users of BlueOnyx 5106R should prepare for the end-of-life of the CentOS 5 based BlueOnyx 5106R on 31st March 2017.
Eight years ago we released the first version of BlueOnyx: The CentOS 5 based BlueOnyx 5106R, which spawned a whole new family of BlueOnyx versions up to and including BlueOnyx 5209R on CentOS 7.
As you all know: CentOS 5 will reach the end of it's life-cycle on 31st March 2017 and after that point no more security updates and patches will be released for it.
Due to that we will also retire BlueOnyx 5106R on 31st March 2017 and no more updates for BlueOnyx 5106R or its third party components will be published for it.
If you are still operating BlueOnyx 5106R servers (or any other CentOS 5 servers) you should plan ahead and retire them before the EOL takes place.
Please keep in mind that you can use CMU to migrate from BlueOnyx 5106R to any newer version of BlueOnyx such as 5207R, 5208R or 5209R. A comprehensive CMU migration guide is available on the BlueOnyx website.
