Security Advisory: Dirty Frag & Copy Fail 2 – Two New Linux LCE Vulnerabilities
Two new Linux local privilege escalation vulnerabilities called "Dirty Frag" and "Copy Fail 2: Electric Boogaloo" were publicly disclosed on May 7, 2026. BlueOnyx versions (5210R, 5211R, 5212R) are affected. A hotfix has been deployed via the swatch RPM.

AlmaLinux 9.8 and 10.2 have been released. Updated installation is available.

Today AlmaLinux anounced the General Availability of AlmaLinux OS 9.8 and 10.2 Stable. DNF updates had already been pushed out and so far no issues have been observed on BlueOnyx 5211R and 5212R that fetched the updates.

Updated BlueOnyx ISO's and installation Images

Updated ISO images for BlueOnyx 5212R and 5211R have been published and they contain all updates as of today.

Additionally updated Incus and LXC container images for BlueOnyx 5212R and 5211R have been published as well.
