BlueOnyx 5211R: New GUI (Development)

Update on the progress in the development of the new GUI.

First of all: We hope you all had a good start into 2024. We also took a few days off between the years for some well needed rest and relaxation. But this week it was already back onto the treadmill for us and work on the new Elmer theme based GUI for BlueOnyx 5211R (and later on: BlueOnyx 5210R)was picked up where we left it before the holidays.

One thing that always bothered me was the logfile viewer we had integrated into the GUI. It was better than nothing, sure. But was it useful? Uh ... rather not:

When you clicked on the buttons, it showed the logfile in a pop-up layer, but that was it. Not sortable and if you wanted to search for something? CTRL+F was the answer. To be honest? That's not good enough. So this is how it looks now:

As you can see: The two pulldowns allow you to select which logfile you want to view and you can also specify how often the data should be refreshed from the backend. The data is then dynamically shown in a DataTable with the newest logfile entry showing first. The results can be paginated and (finally!) you can use the "Search" field to better sift through the data to find what you're looking for.

That should be a hell of a lot more usable.

Donations:
BlueOnyx is available free of charge. For all purposes, may they be personal, commercial, educational or whatever else you might want to use it for. However: Keeping BlueOnyx updated, adding new features to it and releasing updated ISO images is a lot of work. If you like BlueOnyx, then please consider donating something to the project. Thank you and enjoy using BlueOnyx!
