5106R YUM updates in testing repository
Now that the development of BlueOnyx 5107R is finished, it is time to backport the updates to 5106R as well.
During the development of 5107R we had split our code repository into two parts: The 5106R code tree and the 5107R code tree. That made sure that the "stable" 5106R code remained maintainable without seeding 5107R related updates prematurely and before they were really ready.
However: Now that the development of 5107R is finished, it is time to merge all the improvements and updates from the 5107R code tree into the 5106R code tree. Again this is done to make future code maintenance easier.
But this also means that there are a massive number of updates for 5106R that need to be published:

Due to the really large number of updates, we published them to the "BlueOnyx-Testing" YUM repository first, which needs to be enabled manually in /etc/yum.repos.d/BlueOnyx.repo
In about a week these updates will then be published to the regular YUM repository.
As this list contains more than a years worth of updates, I won't provide a detailed list of what specific feature and function updates these contain, or what kind of bugs were fixed. That list would simply be too long and as foggy as memory gets over time, I'd need to look the details up myself anyway.
With these updates the 5106R BlueOnyx gets as close to 5107R as it'll ever be possible to go without reinstalling. It'll still run on CentOS5, but the GUI will be pretty much identical in almost all regards.
Additionally it is now also possible to do a "yum groupinstall BlueOnyx" on CentOS5 based systems, as the repository was modified to allow for this. But please note that a "yum groupinstall BlueOnyx" on a BlueOnyx with Majordomo installed will fail, as Mailman is now our default mailing list manager.
If you have Majordomo installed and want to verify your install, simply run this instead: "yum --exclude=base-mailman* groupinstall BlueOnyx".
