Updated ISO images for 5210R, 5211R and 5212R
Our previous ISO workflow delivered useful results, but it grew organically and required more manual handling than we wanted. We have now replaced that with a modern, unified pipeline that builds release media in a cleaner, more reproducible way.
What is new
We now build both NetBoot and Complete ISOs for every current BlueOnyx generation: BlueOnyx 5212R, 5211R and 5210R:
- Builds are now driven by one standardized workflow, instead of mixed legacy methods.
- ISO generation uses proven tooling such as mock and lorax, followed by consistent final image assembly and validation.
- BlueOnyx branding is now integrated as part of the build process, including installer identity and boot menu presentation.
- Build outputs, checksums, and smoke-test validation are now part of a professional release flow.
Why this matters
This change improves consistency, reliability, and maintainability. It also reduces release risk by making builds repeatable and easier to validate across all supported versions.
In short: BlueOnyx ISO creation has moved from a legacy custom approach to a professional release pipeline designed for long-term quality.
